Get a copy of your consumer report immediately.
Get your consumer report from a monitoring service (either paid or unpaid). Go to annualcreditreport.com and get all three consumer reports.
Place a fraud alert on your consumer reports.
You can contact any one of the three nationwide consumer reporting agencies to place the alert. You should also consider freezing your consumer reports with each of the three agencies.

Call your bank if your account is compromised.
If any of your accounts have been compromised, call each bank and report the cards as stolen ASAP.
Get a police report.
Take your consumer reports to the police station and get a police report. Identify each item that does not belong to you.
